Causeway's programs and social businesses are supported by a number of funders including Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities; Ministry of Community & Social Services; Ministry of Health & Long-term Care; Community Foundation of Ottawa; the City of Ottawa; and a select group of corporate and individual donors including Adobe Corporation, the Co-operators, and Bank of America. Solutions for Youth is funded in part by the Government of Canada's Youth Employment Strategy; Krackers Katering and Supported Employment in Rural Ottawa are supported by United Way Ottawa; CISED and RightBike are funded in part by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The Causeway Foundation has been established to provide financial support and awareness to Causeway Work Centre and is supported by individual donors and fundraising activities.
Causeway also works in partnership with a multitude of community organizations in the health and social services areas throughout the province. The majority of our partnerships are designed to advance pre-employment and employment opportunities for hard-to-employ or disadvantaged workers. For example:
- Causeway and Social & Enterprise Development Innovations (SEDI) are partnering to increase the availability of financial literacy training in our own programs and at other local agencies.
- Causeway has also partnered with the Ottawa Women's Credit Union to provide financial literacy training on site at the cooperative financial institution.
- Causeway is a part of the Employment Access Resource Initiative (EARN), a United Way initiative to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
- Causeway's newest social enterprise, RightBike, is a true community project which enjoys the support of SLOWest, Citizens for Safe Cycling, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Cyclelogik, and Habitat for Humanity Restores, as well as the BIA's of both Wellington West and Westboro.
