The Unmasking Mental Illness fundraiser was a great success–we owe a huge thank you to all who came to the Orange Art Gallery on October 27th to attend! We had a great time recognizing clients, employers, and volunteers, eating delicious food, and mingling. Congratulations to all the award winners! Thanks to your generous donations, we raised $7,500, all of which will go directly to support Causeway’s programs.

We would like to thank to our wonderful volunteers, Holly Beanlands, Pam Hilchie, Sui-Ling Leung, Ria Bachman, Katelyn Stewart, Michelle Williams, Serge Carriere, Andy Clapson, Dan Watson, Dianne Breton, Louise Robinson, Patti Anderson, Caryn St. Amand, Kyrista St. Amand, Fatima Kazoun, Simone Choy, Caroline Tseng, John Franklyne, David Urban Shipley, Emerson Harkin, and Joel Hayward. These individuals helped with the event from start to finish, starting with collecting silent auction items and ending with teardown. It wouldn’t have been possible without them.

We’d also like to thank our sponsors:
Platinum: RBC
Silver: Capital City Plumbing and Drain
Bronze: Smith Petrie Carr and Scott Insurance Brokers LTD, Paranis, Emond Harnden
In Kind: Orange Art Gallery, McAuslan Brewing, Suzy Q Doughnuts
Thanks, also, to all the businesses who donated to our silent auction—we had over 100 donations, a new record!

Most of all, thanks to all of you. Your support means we can continue working hard to help people overcome barriers to employment and create the lives they want to lead.
