This year’s Run/Walk for Mental Health at Britannia Beach was a huge success! The weather was kind to us all day, and so were all of the runners who drank our coffee in the morning and bid on our silent auction items in the afternoon. We raised over $3,500 and spread the word about Causeway to hundreds of fresh faces.
All of our Wellness Warriors completed their races with smiles on their faces, and were able to do so thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors, CCPD (Capital City Plumbing and Drain), Emond Harnden and Smith Petrie Carr & Scott Insurance Brokerts Ltd. Way to go Wellness Warriors! Special thanks to Christopher Kelly for helping to prepare the Wellness Warriors for this event. In case you missed it, check out our story on Christopher, published last month.
We would like to thank everyone who came out to support Causeway, especially the volunteers who gave up their Friday or Saturday mornings and afternoons. Without the help of our selfless volunteers we would not be able to make events like this happen. If you would like to see more photos from the event, visit our Facebook page!
Thanks again to everyone who came out to the beach for our Run/Walk for Mental Health and a big thanks to the organizers, Somersault Event Series, for hosting the event. We hope you had a great time, and look forward to seeing you in October for our next event!
