This month the United Way Annual Fundraising Campaign Co-Chairs, Danya Vered and Charles Bordeleau visited Causeway on a special “Seeing is Believing” tour. “Seeing is Believing” tours are designed to allow United Way employees, corporate donors and fundraising volunteers to see up-close how partner agencies use their funding to create long-lasting social change.

The tour of Causeway demonstrated the holistic approach the organization takes to supporting clients trying to get back into the workforce and focused on all Causeway programs and services, both those supported directly by the United Way and those supported by other funders.

The United Way currently funds three Causeway projects: two social enterprises, Krackers Katering, Right Bike and an initiative designed to build the social enterprise sector in Ottawa entitled, “Stimulating Economic Development through Employment-Related Social Enterprise Capacity Building”.
